Controlled ovarian stimulation and timed intercourse: This involves the use of medications, oral, and injectables for induction of ovulation in women for assisted reproductive technology. Timed intercourse is the practice of identifying the ovulation period in a woman and recommending days of having sexual intercourse.

Intrauterine Insemination (IUI): This is a type of artificial insemination, a procedure for treating infertility whereby washed sperm is injected into the woman’s womb around the period of ovulation with the aim of achieving pregnancy.

Invitro Fertilization (IVF): It is a procedure eggs are collected from a woman’s ovaries, sperm are collected from the man, and fertilization is achieved in the laboratory. The embryos are grown in the laboratory for several days. The embryos are then transferred into the woman’s womb to enable pregnancy to occur.

Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI): This is the use of a special technique during IVF where a single sperm is selected and injected into an egg for fertilization to occur.

Physiologic Intra-Cytoplasmic Sperm Injection (PICSI): This is a technique used to select sperms to be used in ICSI

Testicular Sperm Aspiration (TESA): This is a procedure performed for men to retrieve sperm from their testes for IVF treatment.
